Education

The state supports more than K-12
education, however. |
 |
 |
Students of all ages
benefit from the state's commitment to a world-class educational
system. Daycare providers are regulated by the state, so working
parents know their children are receiving the highest-quality
childcare possible. |

Iowans
have unsurpassed opportunities for lifelong learning through
the state's system of state universities, private colleges
and community colleges. Besides traditional courses, Iowa
colleges and universities offer job training and continuing
education programs, and senior auditing options.
|
| |
Another educational resource for Iowans is the Iowa Communications
Network (ICN), a state-of-the-art fiber-optic communications
network that connects all 99 Iowa counties. The ICN carries
over 120,000 interactive, real-time hours of classes, courses
and one-time events annually. Newsweek reported "Iowa
is the first to [be] hooked up through a fiber-optics communications
system that many experts say could be a national model."
We invite you to learn more about all of Iowa's educational opportunities.
